AMSOIL Ea Bypass Oil Filters provide extremely high-efficiency filtration for AMSOIL bypass filtration systems. Working alongside the engine's conventional full-flow oil filter, the bypass filter continuously filters a small portion of the engine oil to remove extremely fine contaminants that conventional full-flow filters cannot efficiently capture.
98.7% Absolute Efficiency at 2 Microns
AMSOIL Bypass Oil Filters provide an absolute efficiency of 98.7 percent at two microns. This exceptionally fine filtration helps remove small, wear-causing contaminants from the engine oil before they can contribute to abrasive engine wear.
How Bypass Filtration Works
Rather than filtering the engine's entire oil supply at once, an AMSOIL bypass system operates on a partial-flow basis. It draws less than five percent of the oil sump's capacity at any one time, allowing the bypass filter to remove extremely small contaminants without restricting the engine's primary lubrication circuit.
AMSOIL Bypass Filters typically process all of the oil in the system several times each hour, continually removing fine contamination while the engine operates.
Removes Fine Soot Contamination
The high-efficiency bypass filter media also removes soot particles two microns and larger, helping reduce abrasive wear caused by soot agglomeration in diesel engine oil.
High-Capacity Construction
AMSOIL Bypass Oil Filters use proprietary high-efficiency filter media and durable construction designed for extended service. A marine powder-coated exterior and anti-corrosion coated baseplate provide corrosion protection, while an HNBR gasket and silicone anti-drain valve provide dependable sealing and operation.
Increased Oil Capacity
Installing a bypass filtration system increases the engine's total oil capacity. The additional oil volume can improve oil cooling while the increased filtration capacity helps keep the engine operating with highly filtered oil.

Available Bypass Filter Sizes
AMSOIL Ea Bypass Oil Filters are available in several sizes to suit different engine oil capacities and bypass filtration systems. Larger filters provide increased filtration capacity and add additional oil volume to the lubrication system.
- EABP90: Adds approximately 946 ml of oil capacity. Suitable for single-filter applications with crankcase capacities up to 14.2 litres.
- EABP100: Adds approximately 1.4 litres of oil capacity. Suitable for single-filter applications with crankcase capacities up to 17 litres.
- EABP110: Adds approximately 1.9 litres of oil capacity. Suitable for single-filter applications with crankcase capacities up to 22.7 litres.
- EABP120: Adds approximately 3.8 litres of oil capacity. Designed for the BMK30 Heavy-Duty Bypass System and applications with crankcase capacities from 22.7 to 56.8 litres.
Dual-Filter Applications
The BMK22 Dual-Gard system uses two bypass filter elements for larger-capacity applications. Two EABP90 filters are suitable for crankcase capacities from 14.2 to 28.4 litres, two EABP100 filters from 14.2 to 34.1 litres and two EABP110 filters from 14.2 to 45.4 litres.
Replacement Intervals
AMSOIL Bypass Oil Filters provide extended service life. Do not exceed the applicable mileage, operating-hours or time limit, whichever comes first.
- EABP90: up to 96,500 km (60,000 miles), 600 hours or 2 years.
- EABP100: up to 112,600 km (70,000 miles), 800 hours or 2 years.
- EABP110: up to 128,700 km (80,000 miles), 1,200 hours or 2 years.
- EABP120: up to 193,100 km (120,000 miles), 1,800 hours or 1 year.
Filters may be used with larger-capacity sumps but may require more frequent replacement. Additional oil capacities are estimates; always verify the correct engine oil level using the engine oil dipstick.
Filter Sold Separately
AMSOIL bypass filtration kits do not include the bypass filter. Select the appropriate Ea Bypass Oil Filter separately when purchasing or servicing an AMSOIL bypass filtration system.
