AMSOIL ATV & UTV Driveline Fluids
ATV and UTV drivetrains operate under demanding conditions including heavy loads, low-speed operation, steep terrain, towing, mud, water and frequent changes in speed and direction. Transmissions, differentials and final drives require lubricants capable of protecting heavily loaded components while providing the correct performance characteristics for the particular drivetrain design.

Purpose-Built Powersports Drivetrain Fluids
ATV and UTV drivetrain designs vary considerably between manufacturers and models. Depending on the vehicle, separate lubricants may be specified for the transmission, front differential, rear differential or final drive, while other designs combine multiple functions within a single component.
These systems may require fluid characteristics that differ from conventional automotive automatic transmission fluids or gear oils. The correct lubricant should therefore be selected according to the vehicle manufacturer's requirements rather than simply matching viscosity or substituting a familiar automotive product.
Severe Off-Road Operating Conditions
Working and recreational powersports vehicles can subject their drivetrains to substantial loads at relatively low vehicle speeds. Towing, hauling, climbing, technical off-road driving and operation in mud or sand can increase drivetrain temperatures and place significant stress on gears, bearings and other components.
Synthetic drivetrain fluids provide strong resistance to heat and lubricant breakdown while maintaining an effective protective film under demanding operating conditions.
Transmission and Differential Fluids Are Not Necessarily Interchangeable
A vehicle may specify different fluids for components that appear to perform similar functions. A transmission fluid can require particular friction and viscosity characteristics, while a differential or final drive may require greater extreme-pressure protection for heavily loaded gears.
Do not assume that one ATV or UTV drivetrain fluid can be used throughout the vehicle unless the manufacturer specifically calls for the same lubricant specification in each component.
