AMSOIL BMK23 Universal Dual-Remote Bypass System

The AMSOIL BMK23 Universal Dual-Remote Bypass System relocates the engine's full-flow oil filter and adds high-efficiency bypass filtration in a single remote filter assembly. It combines conventional full-flow filtration with an AMSOIL Ea Bypass Oil Filter, providing both filters in an accessible remote location.

Filters and spin-on adapter sold separately. The BMK23 system does not include the full-flow oil filter, Ea Bypass Oil Filter or engine spin-on adapter. These components must be selected separately to suit the application.

Full-Flow and Bypass Filtration in One System

Unlike the BMK21 and BMK22 systems, which leave the engine's existing full-flow oil filter in its original location, the BMK23 relocates full-flow filtration to the remote filter mount. The remote assembly then combines a full-flow oil filter with a separate high-efficiency bypass filter.

The full-flow filter continues to filter the engine's primary oil supply, while a portion of the oil is continuously directed through the bypass filter to remove extremely fine contaminants that conventional full-flow filtration cannot efficiently capture.

Remote Filter Location

Relocating the full-flow filter can provide easier filter access in applications where the original filter location is difficult to reach. Mounting the full-flow and bypass filters together also creates a clean, integrated installation with both filters serviced from the same location.

High-Efficiency Bypass Filtration

Used with an AMSOIL Ea Bypass Oil Filter, the BMK23 provides extremely fine filtration while the engine operates. Bypass filtration helps remove small wear-causing contaminants and fine soot particles while increasing the engine's total filtration and oil capacity.

Universal Installation

The BMK23 is a universal system rather than a vehicle-specific kit. Installation requires the correct spin-on adapter for the engine's original oil-filter mounting thread, together with appropriate mounting and hose routing for the application.

Filters and spin-on adapter sold separately. The BMK23 requires an EaO26 full-flow oil filter, a compatible Ea Bypass Oil Filter and the correct spin-on adapter for the engine's original oil-filter thread.

Choosing a Bypass Filter

The BMK23 can be used with EABP90, EABP100 or EABP110 bypass filters. Select the filter according to engine oil capacity, available mounting space and required filtration capacity.

EABP90: suitable for single-filter applications with crankcase capacities up to approximately 14.2 litres.
EABP100: suitable for single-filter applications with crankcase capacities up to approximately 17 litres.
EABP110: suitable for single-filter applications with crankcase capacities up to approximately 22.7 litres.

EABP120 is not compatible with the BMK23.

Spin-On Adapter Required

Because the BMK23 relocates the engine's original full-flow oil filter, an application-specific spin-on adapter is required. The correct adapter is determined by the oil-filter mounting thread used by the engine.

BMK21, BMK22 or BMK23?

Choose the BMK21 when you want a compact single bypass filter while retaining the existing full-flow filter in its original location.

Choose the BMK22 Dual-Gard when you want two bypass filters for increased filtration capacity while retaining the existing full-flow filter in its original location.

Choose the BMK23 when you want to relocate the full-flow filter and combine it with a bypass filter in one remote assembly.

Installation Considerations

The BMK23 is a universal system and installation requirements vary between applications. The remote assembly should be securely mounted away from exhaust heat, moving components and areas where the filters or hoses could be damaged. Sufficient clearance should also be provided for filter removal during servicing.

Additional oil capacities are estimates. Filters may be used with larger-capacity sumps but may require more frequent replacement. Always verify the correct engine oil level using the engine oil dipstick.
