AMSOIL BMK22 Dual-Gard Bypass System

The AMSOIL BMK22 Dual-Gard Bypass System adds high-capacity bypass filtration to engines and equipment while retaining the existing full-flow oil filter in its original location. Unlike a single-filter bypass system, Dual-Gard uses two AMSOIL Ea Bypass Oil Filters to provide increased filtration capacity for larger engines, higher oil capacities and demanding applications.

Filters sold separately. The BMK22 system does not include Ea Bypass Oil Filters. Two matching EABP90, EABP100 or EABP110 filters are required. EABP120 filters are not compatible with the BMK22.

Dual-Filter Bypass Filtration

The BMK22 uses two bypass filters operating alongside the engine's conventional full-flow oil filter. Only a portion of the engine's oil is directed through the bypass system at any one time, allowing extremely efficient filtration without restricting the engine's primary lubrication circuit.

AMSOIL Ea Bypass Oil Filters remove extremely fine contaminants that conventional full-flow filters cannot efficiently capture, including fine soot contamination in diesel engine oil.

Designed for Larger Oil Capacities

Using two bypass filter elements substantially increases filtration capacity and adds additional oil volume to the lubrication system. This makes the BMK22 particularly suited to large trucks, construction equipment, agricultural machinery and industrial applications where greater filtration capacity is required.

Retains the Existing Full-Flow Filter

The BMK22 adds bypass filtration without relocating the engine's existing full-flow oil filter. The Dual-Gard assembly provides a remote mounting location for two bypass filters while the engine's conventional full-flow filter continues to provide primary filtration in its original position.

Universal Installation

The BMK22 connects to the engine through a pressurised oil port and includes the remote mount, mounting hardware, hose and hose fittings. Installation requirements vary between engines and equipment, so a suitable pressurised oil supply and oil return arrangement must be identified for the application.

Filters sold separately. The BMK22 requires two matching EABP90, EABP100 or EABP110 bypass filters. EABP120 filters will not work with this system.

Choosing Bypass Filters

The BMK22 uses two matching AMSOIL Ea Bypass Oil Filters. Filter size can be selected according to engine oil capacity, required filtration capacity and available mounting space.

Additional oil capacities are estimates. Filters may be used on larger-capacity sumps but may require more frequent replacement. Always verify the correct engine oil level using the engine oil dipstick.

BMK21 or BMK22?

Choose the BMK21 when a single bypass filter provides sufficient filtration capacity and a more compact installation is preferred.

Choose the BMK22 Dual-Gard for larger oil capacities and applications where the increased capacity of two bypass filters is beneficial.

Installation Considerations

The BMK22 is a universal system and installation requirements vary between applications. The Dual-Gard assembly should be mounted to a strong structure and positioned away from exhaust heat, moving components and areas where the filters or hoses could be damaged.
